Terms of service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Salad.Now websites or any services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms apply only to the Services and do not apply to any products or services provided under a separate written agreement with us. If you have a separate written agreement, that agreement controls.

If additional terms apply to a specific feature, those additional terms will control in the event of a conflict.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity and that the entity agrees to these Terms.

2. Who we are

Salad.Now is operated by DotNow Labs LLC (d/b/a Salad.Now) ("Salad.Now," "we," "us").

3. What the Services are (and are not)

  • Salad.Now is a recipe and referral platform with affiliate marketing links to third-party retailers.
  • Our primary revenue is B2B affiliate commissions paid by partner networks or retailers for qualifying referrals.
  • We do not sell food or groceries, process payments, exchange goods, or fulfill orders for consumers.
  • Any purchase, subscription, delivery, return, refund, or substitution is between you and the third-party retailer.
  • Our direct consumer relationship is limited to site/account access and related support.

4. Changes to the Services or these Terms

We may update the Services or these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may also test new features or experiences. Test features may be modified or discontinued at any time and are provided without any guarantee of availability.

Unless otherwise specified, changes are effective when posted.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement, that you have not been previously suspended or removed from the Services, and that your use complies with applicable laws.

6. Accounts and local preferences

Some features may allow you to save preferences in your browser. Account-based features require accurate information and reasonable credential security. You are responsible for activity associated with your account and your use of the Services.

7. Communications

If you create an account, provide an email address, or use account-based features, you consent to receive email communications related to the Services. Communications may include the following categories:

  • System and company updates (mandatory): account, security, legal, policy, compliance, and material service-change notices. These are required for service operation and cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
  • Order reminders (optional): reminders related to planning or ordering activity.
  • Weekly wrap-up (optional): summary emails about your recent activity and progress.
  • New recipes (optional): product/newsletter-style updates about newly published recipes and related content.

You may manage optional email preferences in your account settings or by using unsubscribe links in those messages. We may take a reasonable period to process preference changes. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and able to receive our messages.

8. License to use the Services

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or misleading purposes.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data or content without our prior written permission.
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Services.
  • Upload or transmit malware, spam, or other malicious code.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or underlying data models.
  • Exceed, bypass, or attempt to bypass technical limitations or access controls.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems.
  • Use automated tools to access, scan, scrape, or data mine content for AI or machine learning purposes, unless expressly permitted by our robots.txt.
  • Use the Services in violation of export control or sanctions laws.
  • Use the Services in a way that violates any third-party terms or rights.

We may monitor the Services to enforce these Terms and to protect users, our systems, and our rights. We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion.

10. Intellectual property

The Services, including all content, design, logos, and software, are owned by Salad.Now or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

11. User submissions and feedback

If you submit ideas, feedback, or other content to Salad.Now, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for any lawful purpose, without compensation to you.

You represent that you have the rights to any content you submit and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

12. Affiliate links and promotions

We may include affiliate links or promotional content. If you click a shopping link and complete an order, we may receive a B2B commission from a partner at no additional cost to you. Retailers control pricing, availability, checkout, and fulfillment.

We use plain-language disclosures near relevant shopping actions (for example, "we may earn a commission if you shop through this link") so compensation is clear in context.

13. Third-party services and retailer links

Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their terms and privacy policies.

14. Pricing, availability, and estimates

Any price, availability, or delivery estimates shown on the Services are informational and may be outdated or incorrect. Retailers determine actual pricing, availability, substitutions, and delivery terms.

15. Nutrition, allergens, and dietary information

Nutrition and dietary information is provided for general informational purposes only and may be based on estimates. Always check retailer packaging, labels, and ingredient lists for the most accurate information, and consult a qualified professional for medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Salad.Now does not prescribe or recommend any specific diet plan.

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO MONITOR OR VET THIRD-PARTY CONTENT OR LINKS.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SALAD.NOW WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SALAD.NOW IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSSES CAUSED BY THIRD-PARTY RETAILERS, AFFILIATE NETWORKS, OR LINKED SERVICES, INCLUDING CHECKOUT, PRICING, SUBSTITUTIONS, DELIVERY, RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR PRODUCT QUALITY.

EXCEPT FOR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, SALAD.NOW'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO DIRECT DAMAGES PROVEN TO BE CAUSED BY SALAD.NOW'S BREACH OF THESE TERMS.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salad.Now and DotNow Labs LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

19. Copyright complaints

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please send a notice to [email protected] with the following information: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the material you believe is infringing, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. 20. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute or concern, contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve it informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence (including Canada, where applicable) require otherwise.

22. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

23. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Salad.Now.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Force majeure: We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
  • No third-party beneficiaries: These Terms do not confer rights on anyone other than the parties.
