Data API Terms

Effective: February 16, 2026.

These terms apply to Salad. Now developer data access, including our public API and MCP interfaces.

1. Scope and acceptance

By accessing or using Salad. Now API endpoints, MCP tools, schemas, documentation, or related developer materials (collectively, the "Developer Interfaces"), you agree to these Data API Terms.

These Data API Terms supplement our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. If there is a conflict, these Data API Terms control for Developer Interface use.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be legally able to form a binding agreement. If you use the Developer Interfaces on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. License and permitted use

Subject to your compliance, DotNow Labs LLC (d/b/a Salad. Now) grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Developer Interfaces.

Unless we expressly approve otherwise in writing, access is read-only and for legitimate integration, analytics, research, or assistant-agent workflows that do not harm users, partners, or platform operations.

4. Restrictions

You must not:

  • Bypass or attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, auth controls, or technical safeguards.
  • Use the Developer Interfaces to break law, violate third-party rights, or enable abuse.
  • Misrepresent your identity, app, agent, or affiliation with Salad.Now.
  • Reverse engineer private implementation details or attempt unauthorized system access.
  • Re-sell, sub-license, or commercially redistribute raw interface access without written approval.
  • Introduce malware, spam, or disruptive automated traffic.

5. Rate limits and fair use

We may set, change, and enforce usage limits at any time to protect reliability and fairness. Exceeding limits may result in throttling, temporary blocks, or access removal.

Where documented, rate-limit headers or error responses describe current limit behavior.

6. Data quality and updates

We may update fields, schema versions, endpoint behavior, or available tools over time. You are responsible for maintaining compatibility with published changes.

Developer Interface content may include estimates or third-party-linked data and may change without notice.

7. Third-party services

Some responses may include links to third-party services (for example, retailer checkout links). Those services are operated independently and governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Branding and attribution

You may refer to Salad. Now only in factual, non-misleading ways. You may not imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement without written approval.

9. Security and credentials

If credentials, tokens, or keys are provided, you must keep them confidential, rotate if exposed, and notify us promptly about suspected compromise.

You are responsible for activity under your credentials or integrations.

10. Fees

Developer Interfaces may be offered free, paid, or tiered. We may introduce or revise pricing, quotas, or commercial terms in the future.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Developer Interfaces at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, including for security risk, abuse, legal compliance, or violation of these terms.

12. Disclaimer and liability

Developer Interfaces are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular use case.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salad. Now is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Developer Interface use.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DotNow Labs LLC, Salad. Now, and their officers, employees, and agents from claims and expenses arising from your use of the Developer Interfaces or your violation of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Data API Terms. Updates are effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
